Why does me 2006 Sea Doo gtx supercharged jet ski has engine power loss?

The Jet Ski's engine seems to be suffering from power loss possibly the supercharger no longer engaging. It began after the engine was overfilled with oil. It runs better now that we drained most of the excess oil out of it but it still isn't quite right. It's also not spot on but the oil level is within operating range slightly on the higher end. Would overfilling the oil have caused permanent damage? How would i go about repairing it?Why does me 2006 Sea Doo gtx supercharged jet ski has engine power loss?
You're loss of power could be something totally unrelated to the oil change. I would check inside the pump and see if there is damage to the impeller or plastic wear ring around it. As far as your oil goes, I would start the unit on a flush and let it warm up for a few minutes. Then if you have the capabilities, suck the oil out of the crankcase through the dipstick guide. That Sea-Doo should take 3 quarts of the bombardier 4 stroke mineral oil, (not synthetic). Engine damage can occur with too much oil.
