I've been reading a slot about these government vehicle auctions of repossessed cars. Apparently they're happening all the time, all over the USA... but most of them are exclusive to used car dealers. What's up with that, anyway? Are some of these auctions public? How do I find them?Government Vehicle Auctions: how to find them?
Even though the Government does a lot of things, they don't repossess cars or sell them at auction. The only automobiles you are likely to find at a Government auction are old used up police cars and county/state road service junk. There's no guarantee that they run or can be driven, and many have parts missing.Government Vehicle Auctions: how to find them?
Government auctions don't usually involve repossessed vehicles, just seizures. Most larger cities have one every month or so, they are generally advertised in the papers. You may need to register to bid, and buy a ticket or something like that. These types of auctions tend to be over-rated for the kind of deals you get, you can't test drive anything, and a lot of the stuff is damaged or not running. There may be other auctions in your area run by impounds or dealer organizations, but they are usually restricted to dealers to cut down on the payment problems. The same conditions apply.Government Vehicle Auctions: how to find them?
Well some of you are saying that government vehicle auctions don't have repossessed cars, I've found some websites that say they do. Well, at least they provide a way for you to find repossessed cars that are up for auction. I came across a blog that discusses some guys experience with an auction site that shows you where to find the used cars. I thought it was pretty cool.
I got my car at the government auctions.
Here you will find out when and where these auctions take place in your area.
