Are pocket bikes street legal?

I was actually gonna get a pocket bike. And i was curious, are they street legal? Because i don't wanna get in trouble with the men in blue!Are pocket bikes street legal?

Most (not all) states that have made them illegal also have another law that says the salesman MUST tell you so before the sale.

not sure where you live but most places they are very illegal on the street, nobody could ever see you if you went on the road a big bike is difficult enough to seen on.

If legal, it would be under the laws that govern mopeds. Different states have different laws about mopeds. You need to consult your local Department of Motor Vehicles before you take the leap. In my state, South Carolina it would probably be legal, but you would be harassed by the police at every turn and would need a moped tag.
They are a novelty item and are public road legal nowhere.

NO they are over priced toys and nothing more they are not now nor will they ever be legal any where in the USA.
In the UK they can only be ridden on private land and only with the landowners permission.
