What are the pocket bikes laws in south florida?

how old do u have to be? are they street legal? if not how do you make them street legal? please helpWhat are the pocket bikes laws in south florida?
Pocket bikes are considered motor vehicles in Florida and thus fall under the laws that restrict/govern all motor vehicles, however, since pocket bikes are not manufactured to meet the federal motor vehicle safe act, they can not be registered to operate on any public road surface in Florida (and this is the case for most states). These bikes may also NOT be used on sidewalks, bike paths, etc. They can only be used in private areas with the permission of the property owner(s). You MUST have a valid DL to operate a pocket bike. . . anywhere (and anywhere in this case is only on private surfaces, needing a DL falls under the fact that pocket bikes are considered motorvehicles under FL law). I believe, in florida, you must be 16 to have a full valid drivers license.

Got this information straight from the Orange County Sherrif's OfficeWhat are the pocket bikes laws in south florida?
