Ski-Doo/Sea-Doo Question?

I heard that Ski-Doo and Sea-Doo were actually suppose to be Ski-Dog and Sea-Dog. It was just a typo when they made the products. Is this true or a myth?

I believe that it is a myth. It's supposed to be a "derogatory" name for them. Like we call Arctic Cats, "Arctic Craps" or Polaris, "Polarsh*t." Ski Dog meaning it's slow. I don't know if I'm right, but this is what I believe is true.Ski-Doo/Sea-Doo Question?

Well That's News To Me... LOL I have 4 Sea-Doo's and have never heard that before...
ive never heard this before but if it were true wouldnt they change the typing error.
