He tried putting new gas in it, and that didn't work. Apparently, they don't start when it's warm,. but it was -20 today and it still didn't start.
Just wondering if anyone else has any ideas of why it might not be starting. Thanks!!! :)Can't get Ski-Doo started?
Well, not much detail in your question. Got spark? Easy to tell, just remove a plug , hook it back up the plug wire again, and lay it on the engine block (metal on metal contact). Then pull the rope, or hit the starter button if electric. See a spark? if no, its electrical, and i recommend having someone who knows there stuff to look at it. If you have spark, then its a fuel issue. PUT the plug back in PLEASE. Make sure there is gas to the carb(s) by pulling off a fuel line, cranking the motor, and seeing if fuel comes out. Dont get fuel all over the wires, etc. Try to contain it when it comes out of the line. This is just to help narrow it down. If you have no experience working on this stuff, get help from someone knowledgeable. Can't get Ski-Doo started?
When my snow blower won't start at the beginning of winter, I take out the spark plug, pour a tiny bit of gas in the hole, put the spark plug back, and pull the cord. It starts - smokes a lot for a while, but then gives me no more trouble for the winter. Can't get Ski-Doo started?
