The cks, in the Ski-Doos, is one, of many different model names, like the rev, alpine, nordic, olyimpque, and so on. It is the name, that they give, to the body, and, undercarriage. Every Ski-Doo, has a different model name. For the specific body style. All snowmobiles, are named, this way, basically. Arctic cat, has the jag, panther, and so on. Yahmaha has the exciter, phazer, gpx433, and so on. John Deere had the j 400, j 600, j 800. In later years, they were changed to the jdx 4, jdx 6, and, the jdx 8. They also had the trailfire, liquifire, and so on. Evinrude had the skeeter, bobcat, noresman, quiet flite, and so on. Johnson had the ski-horse,challenger,golden ghost, phantom, and so on. Rupp had the w/t. Years ago, every company, made snowmobiles... Some of the odd ones, were the following... Trade winds, Ski Whiz, Chris Craft, Sno Jet, Scorpion, Trail a sled, Bolens, and so on. Over the years, most companies, dropped out, from loss of sales. We are left, with Arctic Cat, Ski-Doo, Yamaha, Polaris, and so on.What is a ski doo cks?
It is the version of the chassis. There are many types of "platforms" that are used in snowmobiles. Ski Doo has multiple like other makers. They have had the S, Ck, rev, and the most recent XP to name a few. It's a way to differentiate between the years and models. Using the chassis naming they can cross reference parts. Like if you have a sled with a "S" chassis, you could use certain parts from other "S" chassis sleds of different years or engine size.
