We're heading out of town for the weekend, and trying to plan out where to eat. One option is to just get it and take it back to the hotel, but the kids do ok in restuarnts like Fridays and Applebees. We'd like something that takes reservations though - thinking maybe PF Changs?
So looking at suggestions of where you've had success with toddlers, both for dining and menu. Our back up of course is a drive thru then back to the hotel, but we dont get out much, and Im looking forward to something better and that involves a vegetable besides fries.|||TGI Fridays is good and maybe if your kids like pancakes and such then IHOP and the like. Oh and I believe Denny's has a good menu for kids!|||Macaroni Grill is pretty good. They leave crayons on the table (even for a party of all adults) so that you can draw. My kids love that-coloring on the "tablecloth."
Jason's Deli is great too. But, it may be more "fast food" than you are looking for.
Not sure about P.F. Changs. The one here is upscale and not very kid friendly.|||Legal Seafoods
actual healthy food (including fruit and veggie) even in the "kids' meals". good grown-up food, as well.
also a great allergy policy if your child has food allergies.|||Subway( chicken noddle soup) apple slice, Taco Bell as taquitos or quesdilla. Wendy's their chicken nuggets and fruits or Carl's jr their stars nuggets. Pizza anywhere but they will like pizza if you cut in cube. That all i think of. And remember toddler will make mess don't be embarrassments of their mess. important your children to have fun and enjoy their meal. If u in their way they will not happy. My son and us tend out town often we always bring plenty extra clothes important my son to have fun while he eating don't force him. if he wasn't mood to eat love to explore let him look around and offer him eat. but don't force him. Important to have FUN!|||Ruby Tuesdays. They have cool cardboard classic cars that they bring to the table with stickers to stick on them. Trains running along the ceiling- all kinds of cool 50's memorabelia. Loud enough to be kid friendly. Inexpensive kids menu. Great for kids!|||I Hop.|||Our favorite is actually a hybrid - not *exactly* fast food, but not exactly sit down, either - Baja Fresh. The one by our old apartment was always packed with families.
They cook the food fresh, but you grab it from the counter and take it to a table - it's a nice compromise, and the time savings generally adds up to about the amount of time our 3 y.o. can handle sitting for a meal without us turning into entertainers.
Along the same lines, we've had good luck with Five Guys Burgers (I don't think they're in Chicago yet, but I might be wrong) and Chicken Out Rotisserie.
The other place that always works for us is Pizzareia Uno, and of course, they're FROM Chicago. So that's a thought.
Have a great weekend getaway!|||PF Changs is pretty good, as long as your kids are able to try something new and don't mind unfamiliar spices. Applebee's has a lot of good veggies to choose from.|||Max and Ermas?|||Applebee's is good, as is Boston Pizza (kids menu is great), Montana's...Moxie's has a cute dessert and a good menu as well.|||Olive Garden is very kid friendly...where are u going? Go earlier (like 5ish) so you don't disturb the "daters". The only place I'd bring my 3 year old right now to eat is a BARN!!! lol, he's trying, though!|||Red Robin is great for kids, and the food is awesome!|||GO to McDonalds|||how about olive garden?|||I agree with the Red Robin option. They have spaghetti, which is a little healthier choice, but the place is still fun for kids. Red Lobster, Outback Steakhouse, TGI Fridays, and Rainforest Cafe have alternative side choices that are much healthier for kids. Also, chinese buffets offer a lot of different foods with vegetables, instead of chicken nuggets and french fries.|||Well, if it has to do with reservations then it's upscale and pricey. So if you do that then maybe you should check the menu first before deciding to go there, because they may not have a "kids menu" I went to PF Changs and they give large quantity of food. I don't remember seeing french fries or anything, unless your child really likes chinese food, I wouldn't go there. Toddlers do best in places like Fridays because they cater to kids.
It's your decision, my daughter is well behaved and could probably be at PF Changs but I don't want to pay for it when she won't eat it all or none at all|||WHAT ABOUT IHOP?? THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A WONDER PLACE WITH MY KIDS.... ALSO FOUND THAT TEXAS ROADHOUSE- BUT NOT SURE EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE GOING OR HOW CLOSE YOU ARE TO ONE.|||i would have to agree with the first answer i love red robin|||T.G.I Fridays kids love it, as well as adults, and it's all over the U.S.|||My kids love Mexican food!!
But they also like to go to Red Robbins and Izzy's as they get to pick what they want to eat there and there is always desert if they are good. I recommend any type of buffet style restaurant!!|||Red Robin is awsome for little kids they even give them a baloon. Even for baby's its good they have slings they bring to your table and you don't have to worry about where you're going to put the car seat.|||My 2 yr old does great anywhere we take her, some nights she doesn't eat much, but I don't think PF Chang's is a place to take a toddler. For fast food, we like anyplace that sells chicken strips or nuggets....they are easy and my daughter loves it. She also likes mac n cheese. Olive garden is a good place especially if the kids like spaghetti. Denny's and IHOP are great also.|||Jason's Deli, Moe's, any Mexican.|||Dennys is great. Toddler specific menu. Montanas is great, too. They cover the table with paper to draw on, its very family friendly.|||Denny's! Best toddler and kid food meals you can get. P.F. Chang is the best restaurant, but not for toddlers.|||wacky warehouse if your in uk|||My son loves Ruby Tuesday's and Chilis|||crispers
