Does anyone know any thing about snowmobiles. I have a 98 ski-doo formulalll and my gas guage dont work?

Its a pretty easy setup. Its just a float with a rod that attaches to the gauge itself. You might have been riding it hard or it just got bumped to hard and it detached somewhere. It would be easy to fix if you could find a way to get at it. I really don't know much about getting into a gas tank tho.
