i want to become a man who designs new snowmobiles or four-wheelers and like design the parts in the suspension or engine likei originaly thought i would go into mechanical engineering...but that seams to be more like giant machines like in factories and stuff.. or can i use that too branch off. im willing to be in school for a long time. just don't want to waste too much of it.What program should i take so that i can work on ski-doo's?
You could look into automotive engineering technology programs, such as at Ferris State University in Michigan; such programs provide a broad-based engineering program geared towards fixing designing and troubleshooting vehicles; one could pretty easily extrapolate the skills learned fixing larger things like cars, to smaller things like snowmobiles and 4-wheelers. There is a required internship for one semester as a senior, and you could arrange to do it at a place which designs/troubleshoots/engineers snowmobiles or 4-wheelers to fulfill that requirement. Students do this internship at a variety of places, from Detroit to with Honda in California, depending on their preferences and job goals. Plus, you would have a 4 year university degree to fall back on, which would enable you do do any of a number of different things, in case your first career doesn't work out. Look into it!What program should i take so that i can work on ski-doo's?
It is called Mechanical Engineering.
